Abstract

Importance of Radio Regulation Policies in Wireless Communications Study Rapid growth of wireless communication has already leaded to a wide Radio Frequency(RF) studies and experiments. Many of the experiments are initiated from academic studies inthe university laboratories. However potential safety hazards due to human exposure to RFenergy have been addressed and considered in the previous publication, but the radio regulationand licensing are not covered as an objective in the related courses such as Communicationsystems, wireless communication, and RF-electronics. This topic studies the frequencyassignment and RF-regulation required for frequency spectrum application. Our study not onlyprovides guidelines to prevent unauthorized frequency applications but also gives thefundamental knowledge about the restrictions of radio regulation and licensing. Unauthorizeduse of frequency channels is not only illegal but also dangerous and it can make interference overservices such as emergency communications and aeronautical channels.
