Abstract

We describe a partnership of 12 engineering schools worldwide that have agreed to share classes virtually. In a most common example, students from three engineering schools across the world (e.g. USC, Technion, Peking University) take the same class (typically involving a team project across the three schools) at the same time with the same professor for degree credit. A flipped classroom platform allows for the best possible pedagogy in this format. At the end of the semester, the student gather together to defend in person their projects.
