AB  - Enhancing Students’ Understanding of Decision Tree Analysis Utilizing a Healthcare ProjectWhile working a mass casualty simulation, many students found that they did not fully understand howto determine the most likely costs that would occur at specific stations in the simulation. Probabilisticevents were taught to the students during their engineering economics course but the students did notfeel that they completely understood how to apply the tool to the simulation. In this paper, how thestudents were taught decision tree analysis is discussed and how the material is being reintroduced intothe engineering economy course with the use of the mass casualty case study is presented along withwhich specific issues the students did not understand.
