Higher education institutions have felt the need to open andprovide educational resources. And OpenCourseWare (OCW) and Open EducationalResources (OER) in general contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and publicconstruction, providing a social good. Openness also means sharing, reuse information andcreate content in an open environment to improve and maintain the quality of education, atthe same time provide an advertising medium for higher education institutions.OpenCourseWare Consortium himself and other educational organizations stress theimportance of taking measurement and evaluation programs for an institution OCW. Twomain reasons are argued:- Allows you to monitor the usefulness and usability of Open Educational Resources (OER)and the efficiency of the publishing process, helping to identify and implement improvementsthat may be relevant over time.- Measure the use and impact of the parties involved in the OCW site helps ensure theircommitment.This paper presents a project that aims to tackle the above problems by extending the impactof resource materials OpenCourseWare Spanish and Latin American university system in thenew innovative teaching strategies and mission of university social responsibility providingupdated information on the use and impact of OCW materials, and showing the true potentialinherent in the current OCW repositories in Latin American universities.The results obtained let share with the academic units catalogs OCW and OER repositories ofknowledge areas. It is intended that teachers have educational materials for selection anddesign strategies in the learning guides their subjects, promote the creation of quality opencontent to help achieve the mission of universities and their social responsibility, and makemore accessible, discoverable and interoperable repositories OCW (Open educationalmaterials) of Spanish and Latin American universities to link them to the Semantic Web.
